  Ressikan Flute

Small musical wind instrument, resembling a tin flute, native to the community of Ressik on the now-dead planet Kataan. The space probe launched from Kataan contained memories from the planet, as well as a single artifact, a Ressikan flute. Jean-Luc Picard, who received the Kataan memories, including the knowledge of how to play the Ressikan flute, also received the artifact, which he treasured. Picard enjoyed playing his Ressikan flute in musical duets with Neela Daren when the two were romantically involved in 2369.

Picard also played the instrument in "A Fistful of Datas" (TNG). The haunting melody that Picard played on the flute was written by Star Trek composer Jay Chattaway.
