Neelix is a Talaxian, a native of the Delta Quadrant. Neelix' parents, his three brothers, and his three sisters were killed in 2356 by the Metreon Cascade. In 2371, Neelix and the U.S.S. Voyager crew rescued Kes from the Kazon and they joined Voyager's crew. Neelix's knowledge of the Delta Quadrant helps the crew navigate home. Neelix broadcasts a news program every morning called "A Briefing with Neelix."
