Hero of the Bajoran resistance movement, renowned for fighting the Cardassians during the occupation of his homeworld. Li was believed killed in 2360, but was actually captured by Cardassian forces and conscripted into forced labor at the ore-processing center on station Terok Nor. Li was later sent to the Hutet labor camp, where he was held until 2370, when he was freed by Major Kira Nerys. Li was given a hero's welcome by the Bajoran provisional government and given the title of Navarch. He was subsequently assigned as first officer of Deep Space 9, temporarily replacing Major Kira Nerys. Li was killed while saving Commander Sisko from an attack by a member of the Circle. Li is remembered as a hero who died for his people's freedom. Li Nalas was first seen in "The Homecoming" (DS9). |
