Vorta official. Keevan commanded a Jem'Hadar vessel that crashed on a planet in a dark-matter nebula in Cardassian space in 2374. Much of his crew's supply of ketracel-white was ruined in the crash. Believing without the white he would lose control of his Jem'Hadar crew, Keevan betrayed them to a Starfleet team led by Benjamin Sisko, offering to trade his survival for the lives of those under his command. The Jem'Hadar unit followed Keevan's orders and were killed in a hopeless firefight, even though they knew that their Vorta leader had betrayed them. Keevan was taken into custody as a Federation prisoner of war. Keevan was subsequently traded to Jem'Hadar authorities in a prisoner exchange that freed Ferengi citizen Ishka from Dominion captivity, although he was accidentally killed by Ferengi mercenaries before the trade could be completed. Keevan's dying word were, "I hate Ferengi". Keevan was first seen in "Rocks and Shoals" (DS9). |
