El-Aurian refugee and con artist who, in 2370, obtained an unusual gambling device that somehow altered the laws of probability. At station Deep Space 9, he opened a bar called Club Martus, where he installed several copies of this device. Martus was initially successful in luring patrons from Quark's bar, but his good fortune did not last. A run of bad luck, possibly influenced by the gambling devices, forced him out of business. Soon after that, Alsia, a woman he met on the station, conned him out of his remaining money. Martus was later taken into custody when a couple from Pythro V from whom Martus had bilked money pressed charges. Martus Mazur was first seen in "Rivals" (DS9). |
