High-ranking official of the Romulan Star Empire. In early 2375, Cretak was a strong supporter of the Romulan alliance with the Federation and Klingon Empire against the Dominion. She worked with Starfleet admiral Ross, and the two had a good rapport. Nevertheless, Senator Cretak risked the alliance by deploying 7,000 plasma torpedos at the hospital facility on the Bajoran moon Derna, much to the displeasure of the Bajoran government. Cretak refused Bajoran demands to remove the weapons from Bajoran space, but later backed down when the Federation Starfleet indicated it would support a blockade of Romulan shipments to Derna imposed by Colonel Kira Nerys. Senator Cretak was first seen in "Image in the Sand" (DS9). |
