A small spherical device of Ferengi manufacture designed to control neural activity in a humanoid brain. The thought maker transmitted a low-level electromagnetic signal at its victim, enabling it to implant sensory experiences or trigger memories. The device was forbidden by Ferengi government, DaiMon Bok obtained two such devices in his attempt to exact revenge upon Captain Picard for the death of his son in the Battle of Maxia.
