Worf is the first Klingon warrior to
serve in Starfleet. Worf's biological father, Mogh, and mother were killed
in 2346 at Khitomer in the Romulan attack. He was adopted by humans Helena
and Sergei Rozhenko, a crew member of the U.S.S. Intrepid NCC-1831. He has
a foster brother, Nikolai Rozhenko. He has a son Alexander Rozhenko, born
in 2366, by K'Ehleyr (deceased). In 2368, his spinal column was shattered
in an accident and he became paralyzed. He had genotronic replication, an
experimental surgical procedure invented by Dr. Toby Russell. After
destruction of the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D at Veridian III Worf took
extended personal leave at the Klingon monastery on the planet Boreth. He
transferred to station Deep Space 9 in 2372 as Strategical Operations
Officer during (unsuccessful) Klingon invasion of Cardassia. When Worf
found living on the station uncomfortable, he moved into his quarters on
the U.S.S. Defiant NX-74205. In 2373, Worf and Garak
rescued Dr. Bashir
and General Martok from a Dominion Internment Camp in the Gamma Quadrant;
Worf proved his honor to Martok and became a member of the House of
Martok. Worf married Lt. Commander Jadzia Dax in 2374. Worf enjoys Klingon
history, Klingon martial arts and Klingon opera. While serving on the
Enterprise-D, Guinan introduced him to his favorite beverage: prune juice,
"a Warrior's Drink"
Starfleet History 2358-2361
Attended Starfleet Academy 2364 Posted to U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D,
Lieutenant Junior Grade 2364 Assigned acting chief of security after
death of Lieutenant Tasha Yar. 2365 Promoted to Chief Security and Tactical
Officer, U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D 2366 Promoted to full
Lieutenant. 2367 Resigned Commission during Klingon civil war.
Reinstated. 2368 Spinal column shattered in an accident; had genotronic
replication. 2369 Participated in a covert operation to Celtris III to
destroy a Cardassian metagenic weapon. It was found to be a trap to
capture Captain Picard. 2371 Promoted to Lieutenant Commander 2371
Took extended personal leave at monastery on planet Boreth after
destruction of U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D at Veridian III. 2372
Transferred to Deep Space 9 as Strategical Operations Officer during
(unsuccessful) Klingon invasion of Cardassia. 2372 While commanding the
U.S.S. Defiant, destroys a civilian ship. A hearing is held to determine
whether he should be extradited to the Klingon Empire. It is found that
the ship was a decoy. There was no one on board. 2373 Garak and Lt.
Cmdr. Worf travel to the Gamma Quadrant to search for Enabran Tain and are
captured. They escape with Dr. Bashir and General Martok and return to
DS9. 2373 Commanded the U.S.S. Defiant NX-74205 in Admiral Hayes' task
force against the Borg invasion. Transferred to U.S.S. Enterprise
NCC-1701-E when Defiant was damaged and lost life support, and served as
tactical officer during the Borg's temporal incursion. 2374 Served on
the I.K.C. Rotarran during Federation/Klingon Task Force against the
Dominion.
Worf was first seen in "Encounter at Farpoint" (TNG).
